Terms of Service
Last updated: July 21, 2026
By accessing or using SizePDF (https://sizepdf.cabokit.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Service description
SizePDF provides a free tool that compresses PDF files toward a target size inside your browser. Processing is intended to run locally on your device. The service is currently provided without charge and without requiring an account.
SizePDF is best suited to scanned and image-based PDFs. Results vary by file. We do not guarantee that any particular size, clarity, or text-selectability target will be met.
2. Local processing; no hosted file storage
Compression is designed so that your PDF contents are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to SizePDF servers for storage or processing. You remain responsible for securing your device, browser, and any downloaded output files.
3. Backups and important documents
Always keep original backups of important files before compressing. Compression may permanently change visual quality and may make text non-selectable. Do not rely on SizePDF as your only copy of critical documents.
4. Your content and legal responsibility
You alone choose which files to process. You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed to process those files, and that your use complies with applicable law.
SizePDF does not provide, store, host, or redistribute user document contents. We are not responsible for the legality of files you choose to process on your own device.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use SizePDF for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to abuse, overload, scrape, or automate the service in a way that harms availability or security
- Attempt to bypass technical limits, security measures, or access controls
- Misrepresent SizePDF as an official service of any third-party brand
- Use the service to circumvent DRM, encryption, or other technical protection measures on documents you are not authorized to process
Encrypted or protected PDFs may fail to process. SizePDF does not assist in removing or bypassing such protections.
6. Technical limits
To reduce browser crashes and poor experiences, SizePDF may enforce limits such as maximum file size and page count. Limits may change. Large or complex files may cause slow performance or failures on some devices; that does not mean SizePDF damaged your original file, which remains on your device unless you overwrite it yourself.
7. No warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CABOKIT AND SIZEPDF DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that compression will reach a target size, preserve readability, keep text selectable, satisfy any third-party portal requirement, or be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CABOKIT, SIZEPDF, AND THEIR OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM COMPRESSION RESULTS — INCLUDING REJECTED UPLOADS, UNREADABLE OUTPUT, OR MISSED APPLICATION DEADLINES.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim (currently $0 for the free tool) or (b) USD $50.
9. Third-party brands
SizePDF is an independent product. References to common file-size requirements or generic use cases do not imply affiliation with, endorsement by, or partnership with any government agency, employer portal, or competing PDF brand.
10. Open-source components
SizePDF uses third-party open-source libraries. Their licenses remain with their respective authors. See Open-source licenses.
11. Changes and termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may block access for abuse or legal risk.
